Sie_Deen   10/20/11 Hi everyone, Since the discussion has deviated from the original question from @5th day karma, I wanted recap how you would go about resetting the passphrase that is used to encrypt your synced data stored in your Google Account, and clarify the difference between passphrase  and  application specific password  (only asked if you have enabled 2-step verification) Reset passphrase This step will delete all previously synced data (bookmarks, apps, extensions, etc.) that is stored in your Google Account. It will not impact your locally stored data on your computer. To see a full list of data types that can be synced, please refer to Ref[1] below. 1. Log into your Google Dashboard ( www.google.com/dashboard ) 2. In the Chrome sync section, click on "Stop sync and delete data from Google".  3.
